NEWLY REVISED VERSION OF THE HBCU GUIDE RELEASE AT 100
BLACK MEN OF AMERICA 20TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Atlanta author Robin M. May enhances tips for high school juniors and
graduating seniors.
Atlanta, GA (EnvisionPR.com) – Author, entrepreneur and inspirational speaker
Robin M. May released the newly revised version of The HBCU Guide at the
100 Black Men of America 20th Annual Conference, held at the Omni at CNN
Center (100 CNN Center) in Atlanta, GA on Thursday, June 8, 2006 from 8 -
11 pm. She also participated as a guest panelist on Friday, June 9, 2006 from 3
– 5 pm for The State of the Black Student panel discussion alongside other
notable figures, such as Cousin Jeff Johnson, Omar Tyree, Thomas W. Dortch,

"I decided to update The HBCU Guide with more than just tips about the Black
college experience, but to give readers a greater sense of what it encompasses.
The revised version includes fun facts about Black colleges, testimonials from
alumni, listings of famous people who attended Black colleges and much more,”
asserts Robin.
The HBCU Guide includes a few of the following tips:
1. Visit the campus of the school you desire to attend.
16. Request a meeting with the president of your college.
45. Strongly consider a dual-degree program.
51. Participate in an internship program.
52. Study Abroad.
Robin will hold a series of additional book signings around the metro Atlanta
area as part of the release for the newly revised version of The HBCU Guide,
including Medu Bookstore and AUC colleges. Updates on the book signing
itinerary will follow.
